Read the full transcript from Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's Postgame press conference on December 7, 2025.

On the momentum the team has after winning five out of six…

"I think it was a great team win today. The momentum that we've had when offense went out, and then it was complemented by the defensive stops in the first quarter, and then with special teams kind of adding on to that. I think that momentum just kept going. And then on the times where we were stopped, it was where we felt like we kind of hurt ourselves and put ourselves in that position. But for the most part, just really proud of the guys and proud of the team win that we had today."

On what led to the early offensive explosion…

"I would say to that, it was staying on schedule, staying ahead of the chains, staying on what we were talking about for our openers, guys knowing where to go, guys knowing what to do, just being able to operate through those plays. We were able to stay in the rhythm and the flow with those first three drives that we had. And then it was, we got kind of out of the flow with, you know, some self-inflicted wounds."

On the run game today with Devon Achane and Jaylen Wright…

"I don't think there's a secret to knowing what makes the run game go, it's those guys up front. It's the O-line, it's their communication, their conviction throughout the week of practice, being able to get looks. And then if they didn't get a certain look, they'll go and get it by themselves; they'll talk about that, they'll communicate through that, and that's how the running game goes. And then you add on top of that, Devon (Achane), Ollie (Ollie Gordon II), and you also had Jay (Jaylen) Wright, who had a phenomenal game as well today. I think those meshing up, those are really good recipes for success."

On what he can take from past seasons into this season…

"Yeah, I would say I don't think I've been in the League where I've had a stretch necessarily like this one, in terms of the start to the year and then sort of finding that flow towards the later end of the year. But you can always learn and take a lot from the beginning of the year and try to make sure that you or your guys or the team don't fall back into that trap of making those same mistakes and being able to move forward from that. I think it's a really cool testament to the guys on the team not giving up, continuing to press forward, continuing to come into the building with a great attitude, with a great mindset, for a lot of the younger guys as well and to set that example for them. It's a one game season every time, and so that's how we look at it, try to go 1-0 every time we play a team."

On how he felt in the temperature…

"Yeah, I felt good. But it's football; whether it's hot, whether it's cold, you got to go out there and you got to play."

On what happened on the plays near his own goal-line…

"Just going through the progression, feeling some pressure A-gap inside. So, got to be able to get the ball out to our eligibles."
